Ina A. Colen Academy is a tuition-free public charter school of choice located in the Calesa Community in Marion County, Florida. IACA serves students in Kindergarten through grade eight.

LOTTERY FOR 2024-25 SCHOOL YEAR NOW CLOSED

TThe 2024-25 school year lottery is CLOSED and in the verification process. If you received an email that your student’s name was selected in the lottery, we will continue verifying the accuracy of preferences and seats. Please DO NOT call or email the school during the verification period to ask about your place in the lottery. Student enrollment is only complete once IACA receives all necessary information. Important Dates:

  • Lottery Window Opens: 8 am, November 18, 2023
  • Lottery Window Closes: 3 pm, January 31, 2024
  • Announcement of Lottery Selection will be: Friday, February 9, 2024 after 4pm.
  • Current IACA students will receive their letter of Intent to return on Monday, January 8, 2024 and must return it by Friday, January 19, 2024.

THE FIRST THREE YEARS

The registration window for the 2024-25 school year, adding 8th grade, opens November 18th, 2023 and closes January 31st, 2024.

Copies of applications and registration forms will be made available in English and Spanish. Interpretation of the applications and registration forms into other native languages will be provided upon request.

Each school year, the total capacity and total enrollment of the school will be posted on the website. Seats will be made available based on the Enrollment Policy and Florida law.
